South Dublin County Council will appoint a contractor “in the coming weeks” for the design and installation of solar panels for suitable council buildings.
This is part of the Climate Action Plan 2024-2029 adhered to by several local authorities nationwide, which aims at achieving 50 per cent improvement on energy efficiency and 51per cent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
