
Council on track to spend €545m on capital works
SOUTH Dublin County Council are on track to spend over €525m this year in their capital works programme, which will exceed the entirety of the council’s capital programme outturn for the previous three years.
Outlining a progress report to members at the council meeting on Monday, SDCC chief executive Colm Ward said capital expenditure is up by €172m for the “first eight months of this year” to €274m, of which about €188m is “on housing provision and upgrade.”
