Cuisine de France owner set for chairman switch

ARYZTA, with Irish operations based out of Grange Castle, has announced that it will put forward Heiner Kamps for consideration as the new chairman of the company.

The food business with an address in Clondalkin and owner of the Cuisine de France bakery will propose Mr Kamps for election as Chairman of the Board at the Company’s Annual General Meeting in May 2027 to replace current chairman and interim CEO Urs Jordi, who will take on the permanent CEO role following next year’s AGM.

Mr Kamps has been a member of the board of the international bakery company since 2020 and currently serves as Lead Independent Director.

Mr Kamps stated: “Aryzta has a strong position in the international bake-off market, and I see considerable potential for the business.

“As Chairman, I want to focus on our strategic priorities and refresh the Board to bring in new experience and perspectives.

“I look forward to working with the board and management to improve performance and create long-term value for our shareholders.”

The proposed new company chairman is noted to bring extensive experience in the bakery industry and a deep understanding of the business.

The board intends to appoint Cornelia Gehrig as Lead Independent Director to fill the position that Mr Kamps will leave.

Mr Jordi will be proposed for election as an executive member of the board at the AGM and welcomed his colleague as his successor.

Mr Jordi said: “Heiner Kamps brings extensive industry experience, strong leadership and strategic thinking to the role of Chairman.

“He knows Aryzta and its business very well and has made a valuable contribution to the Board over the past six years.

“He is well placed to provide continuity in the leadership of the board and guide Aryzta through the next phase of its development.”
