December Sports Star of the Month: Alex Denning

WHAT A month December was for young up and coming Motorsport driver Alex Denning.

The 23-year-old from Rathfarnham was named the Young Driver of the Year by Motorsport Ireland following a superb season.

It was a dream come through for Denning, winning the Sexton Trophy, after previously winning the 2020 Fiesta ST Champion title before heading to the UK last year to race to the front of the Mini JCW Championship Rookie Cup in front of 30 other competitors.

Alex was declared the overall rookie champion in the Mini Challenge UK in Brands Hatch in England last year following a fine run of results.

Denning will be competing in the GT Winter Series races in Spain this year at Jerez and Barcelona -Catalunya with PROsport Racing in their Aston Martin Vantage GT4 car.
