DFB battle large gorse fire in Dublin Mountains
Units from Dublin Fire Brigade battled a large gorse fire in the Ticknock/Three Rock area of the Dublin Mountains last night.
The smoke from the significant blaze could be seen right across the capital yesterday evening, with DFB confirming they had units from Rathfarnham and other stations at the fire.

The emergency services received over 100 calls from the public in relation to the fire, which was eventually brought under control.
Mostly dry weather over the course of the last two months or so means ground is very dry, and the public have once again been asked to the careful when enjoying the scenic Dublin Mountains.
