Disruption to Luas Red Line service due to works

THERE will be no Luas Red Line trams running between Red Cow and Tallaght/Saggart this Saturday and Sunday, May 21 and 22.

According to Luas, the temporary, partial closure is required to facilitate essential engineering works on the Red Line.

Trams will only run between Red Cow and Connolly/The Point this weekend, with a replacement bus service covering the closed stops between Red Cow and Tallaght/Saggart.

The replacement bus stop locations for those travelling between Tallaght and Red Cow are the Luas stops at; Tallaght; Hospital; Cookstown; Belgard; Kingswood and Red Cow.

Commuters travelling between Saggart and Red Cow can access the bus service at the following Luas stops; Saggart; Fortunestown; Cheeverstown; Fettercairn; Belgard; Kingswood and Red Cow.

Due to limited bus set-down areas, the replacement bus will not stop at the Citywest Campus Luas stop.

People are advised to use the bus stop at Fortunestown, which is an eight-minute walk away.

The Red Line will run as normal from first tram on Monday, May 23. Follow Luas on Twitter and Facebook or check the Travel Update section of Luas.ie for further information and updates.
