A THIRD class student from Scoil Chaitlin Maude in Killinarden has danced her way into the finals of Ireland's Got Talent.

Syesha (9) and Kyle (12) are both students of Empire Dance in Tallaght, with Kyle, who lives in Swords, dancing with Justin Bieber when the Canadian singer performed in Ireland last year.

Double Impact

Syesha, who goes to Scoil Chaitlin Maude in Killinarden, lives in Tallaght with her mam Rachel and big brother Riess, who plays under 17s for Shamrock Rovers.

Dancing together as Double Impact, the duo describe their dancing as free style contemporary – with their emotive and mesmorising performance tonight winning high praise from judges and a standing ovation.

Following the public vote, Double Impact made it into the top three with RDC and DeafTones.

RDC dance troupe from Cork received the highest number of public votes and automatically went straight through to Saturday’s final.

However, Double Impact and DeafTones, a Dublin-based Irish sign language choir, had to go head-to-head for the second spot in the final – with judges voting to save one of the two acts.

DeafTones also delivered an unforgettable performance tonight, so judges were not faced with an easy decision.

However, Double Impact won three of the four judges’ votes catapulting them into the final.

The judges do have a wild card, so it may not be the last we see of DeafTones.

Speaking after being chosen to go through to the final, Syesha thanked the judges and all those voting at home.

The last semi-final is tomorrow (Thursday) and will see Evelyn Williams (Tallaght), Xquisite Dance (Tallaght), Philip Murphy (Tallaght) and Affia Ni Fhaolain (Rathcoole) all perform for a spot in the final.
