Dream come true for Frances with opening of Pearl Room

WORKING at St James Hospital, mother of two Frances Hoolahan decided to take a career break in 2019 to follow her dreams and focus on her newly educated skills in the beauty industry.

Building a client base from scratch five years ago, today Frances has nearly 1,000 clients.

After becoming qualified in the Waxperts Wax range, Frances set up the Pearl Room in 2017, but she continued to work in St James Hospital while doing treatments on family and friends to gain experience and build confidence.

A native of Clondalkin, Frances spent the next two years honing her skills and building up a client base.

Recently, she found the perfect start up space at Ace Enterprise Centre in Bawnogue Clondalkin, and with the guidance of Kerrie Kavanagh, Business Development Manager at Ace, the Pearl Room now has a permanent base.

Today, the business has nearly 1,000 clients and is billed as the only professional wax salon in Tallaght, Clondalkin and Lucan.

A special opening was held at Ace this week, during which TD Emer Higgins (FG), Cllr Shirley O Hara (FG) and Justin Mulhern, chairman of the Local Enterprise Centre, attended the ribbon cutting.

Speaking at the opening, Frances said she never envisaged this “expansion and level of growth” when starting the Pearl Room five years ago.

“It really is a dream come true for me. But I couldn’t have done this without the continued loyalty and support from my clients. They are the reason that I’ve been able to do this.

“Kerrie had belief, saw potential and the time was right. Kerrie made me feel that this was the right move for me.”

Frances also paid tribute to Mark from Arkwood, and of course her parents and two kids “who rock”.

The Pearl Room specialise in advanced intimate waxing and offer full body waxing treatments to both male and female clients.
