THE new Innovation Centre in Tallaght is expected to be completed by October 2023, according to an update report by South Dublin County Council.

Construction started in April on a building which when complete, will be located in the Innovation Quarter of Tallaght.

The Innovation Centre is set to provide a new location for work opportunity and employment.

It is billed by the council as a singular landmark four-storey building.

Views from inside the building will be in four directions and southwards to the Dublin Mountains over the public park.

The centre will contain a public area on ground floor with town hall space and a café.

A modern structure, it will be an open building designed to see through from side to side.

Outdoors, there will be a south facing café terrace space engaging with the park.

Meanwhile, a central atrium space will present a visual connection to upper levels

SDCC say there will be lettable offices in various sizes on upper floors informed by operator Oxford Innovation.

Break out space and tea stations will be located on each level and space for “conversations and chance encounters to happen” according to the update report.

Other features include integrated staff facilities and a day and night presence for security.
