Drimnagh Boxing Club make it a hat-trick
Drimnagh Boxing Club took their All-Ireland title tally to six for the year so far after Jamie Collins and Aaron Keogh enjoyed Boy One success with Kai Griffin going all the way in the Boy Two ranks in the National Stadium last weekend.
Collins secured the B1 29kg title after he earned a unanimous decision in his decider against William McCarthy of Mayfield.

The younger brother of five-time National champion Martin Collins, he will be hoping this first Irish title will be start of a lot more.
Lining out in the B1 33kg class Aaron Keogh carded an equally convincing victory in his title fight against Glengormley’s Aodhn Scott.
“The guy Aaron fought was a lot taller and we told Aaron that he would have to hold his ground against him and he boxed phenomenally” said Drimnagh coach William Carruth.
Completing a hat-trick for the club was Griffin who dished out a 5-0 defeat to Shane Quinn of St Paul’s to complete his march to the B2 38kg crown.
It marked a second All-Ireland title win for the nephew of former European gold medallist Paul Griffin and one that also impressed Carruth.
“These three boxers are unbelievable, they’re at a different level” he said. “They’re footwork is great and they box the way you should box” he added.
The club will now be weighing in five more boxers to the County Dublin Boy 4-Youth Two Championships with three of their girls also entering All-Ireland competition.
