Drugs worth €400,000 seized in Citywest

As part of a joint operation between the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (DOCB) and Revenue & Customs a car was stopped at Citywest Avenue on Thursday.

During the course of a search of the car, 20 kilos of cannabis herb with an approximate street value of €400,000 was seized.

A male (55) was arrested and is being detained at Clondalkin Garda station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
