Echo Sport in Review: August 2021

St Mary’s Boxing Club’s Kellie Harrington dominated the sports headlines in August as she had the nation on its feet when she beat Brazil’s Beatriz Ferreira in the lightweight final at the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Competing in her first Olympics, Templeogue’s Nadia Power fell short of progressing from her heat in the 800m while Rathfarnham’s Annalise Murphy came up short in the Lasar Radial, finishing 18th overall.
