Equine Centre passes the highest standard inspection

CHERRY Orchard Equine Centre passed the highest industry standard inspection last week.
The centre passed the Association of Irish Riding Establishments (Aire) inspection, which regulates standards at riding schools and equestrian centres in Ireland.

Aire retains a panel of inspectors to assess riding establishments around the country, to maintain the highest standards of quality and service.
A Cherry Orchard Equine Centre post on social media said there was “not one negative comment” and inspectors found the riding centre “very well managed”.
“A big shout out to all our yard team, instructors, yard staff, volunteers and of course our leaders. Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication to maintaining the yard to such a high standard.”
The Cherry Orchard centre are one of 220 Aire members in the country.
Established in 1972, Aire promotes the sport of amateur horse riding.
Inspections are carried out under various criteria including horses/ponies, records, saddlery, grazing, stabling, facilities, equipment, fire prevention and accommodation.

Meanwhile, Cherry Orchard Equine Centre have praised former student Jordan Cummins (19), who is currently an amateur rider in the UK for trainer Karl Burke.
From Ballyfermot, Jordan went to the centre when he was 16 for an early school leavers programme, passing all his Fetac levels and exams.
He progressed to the Racing Academy and Centre of Education in Curragh House, and over the last year, has been learning his craft in the UK under Burke.
Cummins recently spent time in Dubai, to ride out for John Hyde, who pre-trains and starts braking in young horses for Sheik Hamdam al Maktoum.
His aim is to become a professional jockey.
