ADDITIONAL information has been submitted in relation to plans for the upstairs section of Faughs GAA Club’s clubhouse in Templeogue to operate a creche/Montessori.

The club lodged the plans for the change of use of the upstairs section for the operation of a creche/Montessori for up to 20 children between the hours of 8am to 2pm, Monday to Friday, last December.

It is noted in the application that the facility will meet Tusla requirements for businesses of this nature, with the operator of the facility offering the ECCWE scheme and the National Childcare Scheme.

South Dublin County Council requested additional information from the club in February, including details of existing activities that take place in the clubhouse, details of the proposed internal layout, the exact age range of children the service would cater for, and a car parking and bicycle parking layout.

The club submitted the additional information last month, and the local authority has yet to make a decision on the proposed change of use.
