Food Academy course applicants welcome

A FOOD Academy course for Dublin based food or drink start-up businesses, starts at Finnstown Castle House, Lucan, on October 14.

Applicants are encouraged to sign up for the Food Academy course with South Dublin County LEO for a programme, which aims to develop and grow small-scale food and drink production businesses.

The programme involves a wide range of topics, including mentoring, understanding core technical issues, and how to grow sales through branding/packaging.

Modules will cover a range of issues including marketing, finance, packaging, sales and public relations.

The programme will consist of four full training days, one day for each module – taking place on October 14, November 11, January 20 and February 24.

Mentoring is a significant aspect of the pogramme with onementoring visit taking place after each module, in conjunction with the content delivered during the previous training day.

The cost of the programme is €200, inclusive of course materials – payments to be made only after confirmation of selection on the course.
