Four arrested after pipe bombs seized in apartment in Tallaght
TWO pipe bombs were seized in an apartment in Tallaght today.
During the incident, gardai attached to the DMR South Serious Crime Unit and Drugs Unit and Community Policing Unit arrested one man in his 20s and three women – one aged in her 30’s, and two aged in their 40’s.
They are currently detained pursuant to Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at a Garda Station in the Dublin area.
The apartment complex was evacuated during the incident and a cordon was established.
A Defence Forces EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) team made the area safe, and removed the devices for further examination.
Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
