A UNIQUE investment opportunity of four former Hackett’s bookmaker premises will be brought to auction later this month by Matt Dunne auctioneer and estate agent.

The former Hackett properties have been let to Irish betting powerhouse Paddy Power, and turnover on all four properties has seen a significant increase since the takeover.

Included within the four properties is a premises located on the Crumlin Road, which has a guide price of €400,000 and a rental income of €38,000 per annum.

The ultra-modern shop is located within a densely populated area, adjacent to the Gate Bar and includes parking.

It has a footprint of 1,200 sqft and with its rental income, guarantees a yield of 9 per cent.

Speaking about the investment opportunity, Matt Dunne said: “These four freehold investment properties are ideal for private investors to buy and place within their personal pensions.

“How can you risk investing in shares when it is influenced by currency risk and the whole Brexit debacle?

“A recent property report confirmed that cash transactions still account for 60 per cent of the market which is simply unbelievable.”

Also included within the portfolio of properties is a modern shop and two refurbished apartments in Tullamore, Co Offaly with a guide price of €350,000.

Two properties in Tipperary are also offered – a shop and two apartments in Clonmel and a shop and two apartments in Templemore – both properties have a guide price of €200,000.

A viewing of the property on the Crumlin Road is available at any time, and can be bought individually or as part of the entire portfolio.

The auction for the properties will take place at 3pm on September 28, in Wynn’s Hotel on Abbey Street in Dublin city.
