Four month old horse rescued in Clondalkin after being left to die

The abuse and neglect of horses by some in the Clondalkin area has once again been highlighted after My Lovely Horse Rescue (MLHR) last night posted images and videos of a young foal left to die in the Fonthill area.

According to the rescue charity, the four-month-old horse was left to die in what is yet another clear case of animal abuse.

Volunteers, including veterinary staff, tracked down the horse with severe cuts and gaping wounds, while infection had set in on one particularly bad cut on the foal’s leg.

Anyone with any information in relation to this animal abuse is asked to contact the gardai immediately.

Check out this week’s Echo for more on the on-going issue of animal abuse involving horses across the areas of Tallaght, Clondalkin, Ballyfermot and Lucan.
