Free Heritage Week events in Lucan
THE SOCIETY for Old Lucan (SOL), the local history group for Lucan, has planned two free events for Heritage Week - which is being staged next month.
On Saturday, August 17, there is a tour of King John’s Bridge and St Finian’s medieval church and graveyard at 11am by Darren Tully from the SOL Committee.
Lucan Village
On Friday, August 23, there is a talk on “The 18th-century Toll Road from Dublin to Mullingar, via Lucan” by local historian John Colgan in the Lucan Library at 2.30pm.
