Gardai confirm injured man found in underground car park has died

An injured man found in an underground car park yesterday in Swords has died.

Gardai confirmed the man’s death this morning and have appealed to anyone with information to come forward.

The man was found in the underground car park of the Carnegie Court Apartments at 5:50am yesterday morning.

It is not known at this time how he sustained his injuries.

The white male, believed to be in his late 30s/early 40s, has brown hair and is of medium build.

He was wearing a white slazenger t-shirt, navy track suit bottoms and black sketcher runners – size 8.

There was no form of identification on the man and he remains unidentified. 

In a statement from Gardai this morning, a Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí in Swords can confirm that the injured man found in an underground car park at Carnegie Court Apartments was pronounced dead at Beaumont Hospital last night.

“Investigating Gardaí are renewing their appeal to any persons who were in the area of Carnegie Court Apartments on North Street, Swords between the hours of 10p.m. on Monday night and 6am on Tuesday morning to contact them at Swords Garda Station 6664700 the Garda Confidential Line 1 800 666 111 or any Garda Station.”
