Cash in Transit robbery 17 October 2016

Gardai have confirmed to Echo.ie that one box of cash was taken from the cash-in-transit van, which was parked outside the Bank of Ireland.

No fire arm was used in the robbery, which is believed to have happened around 11.50am, and no injuries reported.

Gardai are still at the scene gathering information and while they can’t officially confirm the number of people involved, they are following a line of inquiry that two people robbed the van and left the scene in a small silver car.

The car is believed to have travelled out of the village, in the direction of Lidl.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Tallaght garda station on 01-6666000.
