Gardai launch appeal for witnesses to traffic collision in Rathfarnham

Gardaí in Rathfarnham are appealing for witnesses to a traffic collision which occurred on the 29th of December 2015.

At approximately 11.30am a 75-year-old male pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a car on Butterfield Avenue.

The collision occurred at the entrance to Rathfarnham Shopping Centre. He was taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital where he is continuing to receive treatment. (His condition is understood to be stable.) The driver of the car was uninjured.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this collision. They are particularly appealing to a number of people who provided assistance to both the injured pedestrian and the driver of the car at the scene to contact them.
