Gardai seize kilo of cocaine during stop and search in Dublin 8

As part of an ongoing investigation into serious criminal activity in the Dublin region two males were intercepted at Parkgate Street Dublin 8 at approximately 11am this morning  by the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Serious Crime Task Force.

During the course of a search one kilo of Cocaine was seized with an estimated street value of €80,000.

Two males (40yrs & 52yrs) were arrested in connection with this investigation.

They  are currently detained at Store Street Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2- Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
