Gardai targeting west Dublin gang seize €60,000 cash and luxury car

As part of ongoing investigations by the Criminal Assets Bureau targeting a west Dublin based organised criminal group a search operation was carried out at locations across Dublin on the 24th November 2016.

The searches were conducted at a number of residential and business premises including a solicitor’s office, an accountant’s office and a motor garage.

They were carried out by officers of the Criminal Assets Bureau, who were assisted by local Garda detective units.

During the searches Gardaí seized cash in excess of €60,000, along with documentation and mobile phones. 

The Criminal Assets Bureau also seized a luxury motor car (valued between €30K – €40K).

The car was seized under the recently amended Proceeds of Crime legislation.

No arrests were made during this phase of the investigation.
