Green belt could be rezoned for 3,500 homes
A South Dublin green belt might be under pressure for the building of over 3,500 homes as the government plan to take over land rezoning to increase housing supply.
The rezoning of the Newlands Cross site in Kingswood currently owned by Hibernia was shelved by South Dublin councillors in June 2021 as the developer sought permission to build over 3,500 residential units on it.
