A CHEQUE for €15,573 was presented to a Clondalkin primary school for a new ASD Unit following the Handball Harrier’s charity cycle in August.

The cheque was handed over to the principal of Sacred Heart Primary School in Sruleen, Mr Liam Kelly, by members of the Handball Harrier’s cycling group on Friday, November 5.

As reported previously by The Echo, the Handball Harriers – a group of friends from Clondalkin and Ballyfermot took on the tough challenge of cycling 104 kilometres from Clondalkin to Courtown, County Wexford, on Saturday, August 7.

The annual fundraising event has raised thousands for the local community in Clondalkin since starting, with the group raising €10,000 for the ASD unit last year also.
