Harry Potter star Miriam says ‘hello’ to Tallaght

HARRY Potter star Miriam Margoyles gave an enthusiastic ‘hello’ to Tallaght in a clip posted on Twitter by Senator Lynn Ruane.

Senator Ruane, who is from Killinarden, is currently filming a television show around Ireland with the British film and TV star – and couldn’t pass up the chance to get Ms Margoyles to give a shout out to Tallaght.

In the short clip posted on Senator Ruane’s Twitter page on Monday, the two women can be seen sitting in a camper van with the Tallaght native encouraging Ms Margoyles to say hello to Tallaght.

Ms Margoyles, whose other credits include appearances in ‘Blackadder’ and ‘Trollied’, happily obliged, with Senator Ruane then explaining what the duo’s plans are.

“Me and Mimso are off on the road,” said Senator Ruane, alluding to them travelling around the country and filming a television series centered on Irish dramatist Lady Gregory.

The series will see the pair travelling around the country, tracing the life of Lady Gregory, who founded the Abbey Theatre and was an accomplished playwright and folklorist.

Entitled ‘Lady Gregory – Ireland’s First Social Influencer’, the two-part series will air on RTÉ One and is being produced by Kite Entertainment.

The production company was reportedly awarded €178k for the development of the series, which is expected to air at the end of this year, or in early 2023.
