Have your Say: Residents have chance to put forward projects
RESIDENTS in Tallaght South and Saggart will have a chance to put forward project proposals for their community following the launch of the €300k Have Your Say initiative.
€300k Have Your Say is a participatory budgeting initiative which has been run in South Dublin County Council since 2017, enabling and empowering communities to mould their shared spaces.
Along with Saggart, communities from Tallaght South, which incorporates places such as Brittas, Jobstown, Killinarden, Knockmore, Brookfield and Fettercairn, are invited to take put their ideas forward. Helping to create community-led projects, €300k Have Your Say for Tallaght South and Saggart is set to launch in Brookfield Youth and Community Centre on Monday, March 13 at 7.30pm.
All members of the community are invited to join the launch.
Following the launch, submissions will open to the public for €300,000 to be spent in the local areas and workshops will be held throughout March to facilitate discussion of project ideas and help formulate a ready-made submission.
The first workshop will take place in St Mary’s GAA in Saggart on March 21 at 7pm, with workshops also being held in Jobstown Community Centre on March 22 at 7pm and in Killinarden Community Centre on March 29 at 7pm.
