Hospitality Manager of the Year goes to Ballyfermot woman

A BALLYFERMOT woman has been crowned the Irish Hospitality Manager of the Year at the Irish Hospitality Institute’s 50th Anniversary Founders Banquet.

Yvonne Pugh works as a frontline manager with Aramark, a customer service business that works across food, facilities and uniform supplies, and she received her award in front of an audience of more than 500 hospitality professionals.

Commenting on her win, Yvonne Pugh said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have won the Irish Hospitality Manager of the Year.

“With such high standards, stakes and levels of competition in the hospitality sector in Ireland, it is incredibly motivating to receive an award like this.”

The award recognises outstanding achievements within the hospitality industry, and candidates for the award had to be nominated by current members of the Irish Hospitality Institute.

Frank Gleeson, Managing Director of Northern Europe for Aramark, said: “Yvonne has shown a constant commitment to excellence in her work for many years.

“The Irish Hospitality Manager of the Year award is a wonderful accomplishment acknowledging her dedication to refined quality at a national level.

“These awards are a great opportunity to recognise outstanding work by outstanding employees.”

The night also marked the celebration of the Irish Hospitality Institute’s 50-year anniversary, and featured the Minister of State for Tourism and Transport, Patrick O’Donovan, as the guest of honour.
