Huge Cannabis haul uncovered in South County Dublin

Revenue officers, with the help of their detector dog Meg, have uncovered another huge drug haul after they seized 150kg of cannabis resin at a warehouse in South County Dublin yesterday.

The search was part of an intelligence-led, joint operation, targeting the illegal importation, sale and supply of drugs and involving Revenue’s Customs Service and the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.

The drugs have an estimated value of €900,000 and were seized during the search of a warehouse in South County Dublin.

Investigations are ongoing with a view to prosecution.

This brings the total value of drugs seized by Revenue in the last month to €11 million.
