Incredible support continues for Rathcoole man severely injured in Australia

The fundraising drive for a Rathcoole man who was left with severe injuries after he fell 20 metres on a building site in July in Australia are continuing, with many of his friends and family recording videos of support for the father-of-one.

David remains in intensive care, and the road to recovery for the beloved husband and father continues.

His family immediately made their way to Australia in July, and his mother has remained there since, while many have been fundraising at home and abroad.

Local pubs in Rathcoole have raised more than €20,000, while a YouCaring page has collected nearly $50,000 so far.

In another show of support, Saggart man Tadhg Ennis has created a video featuring a number of messages of support from the friends and family of David.

The emotional messages comes from places across the world, and the Sam Maguire even features in the middle of Dublin.

The fall left David with injuries to his heart, lungs and kidneys, and he will need prosthetic legs at some stage in his recovery.

Despite this, he has already shown incredible strength and toughness to battle back from the brink, and you can help in the fundraising drive by donating HERE.
