COSMETICS brand Inglot will not be reopening their stores in The Square and Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, due to the impact of Covid-19.

The popular make-up brand opened its first Irish store in Liffey Valley in 2009, and went on to open 22 stores here and in the UK – including their branch in The Square, which opened in 2016.

However, all of Inglot’s stand-alone stores in Ireland are to fold, as the brand is now focusing on selling their products through stockists, including Boots and Missguided, and online sales, as a result of the economic impact of the pandemic.

In a statement, the cosmetics company said: “Unfortunately, due to the impact of Covid-19 and the immense challenges facing the retail sector, Inglot stand-alone stores will not reopen.

“We would like to thank our retail team members for their valued service and commitment.

“The Inglot collection is on sale at www.inglot.ie and available to purchase at one of our many stockists nationwide.

“Inglot MUA Pro and Student Cards can be used online at www.inglot.ie.

Gift vouchers purchased in store can be redeemed by emailing customerservice@inglotireland.com.

The closure of Inglot has delivered another blow to The Square’s retail offering, following the permanent closures of Debenhams and IMC Tallaght, which were announced during the pandemic.
