Investment boost for Lucan village
PLANS to revitalise Lucan Village and attract visitors to St Catherine’s Park have been revealed by South Dublin and Fingal County Councils.
The plans are a part of a three-year village initiative to attract and support the local community and amenities to villages across the county.
A part 8 planning application for Lucan Village was submitted by South Dublin County Council on March 11 as part of the €7million Village Initiative.As part of the plans, a new village plaza will be developed for Lucan Village, along with a footbridge link over the canalised section of river between Griffeen Bridge and Vesey Bridge.The village plaza and footbridge will be comprised of limestone paving, with railings to match the existing railings on the footbridge installed.
