Irish Distillers plan to extend Fox and Geese site

IRISH Distillers have applied for an extension to its bottling hall, to include a forkilift charging area, at its premises at the Fox and Geese on Robinhood Road in Clondalkin.

The proposed extension will be 1,870 sq. m, with a height of approximately 9.12 metres.

Plans for a second forklift charging area, of 202 sq. m with a height of approximately 5.35 metres, are also included in the application.

There are also plans for a 368 sq. m open pallet storage area and a 389 sq. m semi-enclosed canopy adjacent to the northern end of the dry goods warehouse.

It is also proposed that a number of areas on the site will be demolished, including the existing loading bay to the bottling bank, the existing internal waste storage area, the existing forklift charging area and the existing external waste area.

The submission further includes alterations to a previous application for planning permission, which was granted permission in 2013.

The alterations include the omission of the proposed extension to the bottling hall, the proposed extension to the dry goods warehouse, and two proposed forklift charging areas and a proposed pallet storage area.

A decision is from South Dublin County Council is due by June 5.
