The post and message were in Irish first and then in English.

The school’s annual Halloween parade is on Friday October 28 at 1pm in the school yard.

Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada opened in September 2005 with 26 children and a principal and one teacher. At present there are 21 teachers, two SNAs and 430 children in the school. The school is based at present on Griffeen Road, across the road from the Lucan Sports and Leisure Centre.

The school is under the Patronage of An Foras Patrúnachta na Scoileanna Lán Ghaeilge Teo and has a Catholic ethos.

The children learn all their subjects (except English) through Irish. In Junior Infants the children do no English at all, although they learn all the pre-reading skills through Irish.

The Echo contacted Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada to ask them about their ban on “killer clown outfits” but they did not respond before we went to press.
