Live with Sadhbh: Keane to play her first headline gig at Round Tower

A teenage Clondalkin musician is gearing up to play her first headline show in the Round Tower GAA Club next month.

Sadhbh Keane, 14, who attends Coláiste Chillian, is no stranger to performing for crowds as she is a seasoned Grafton Street busker and has been performing there since she was 11.

While busking was off the cards when the pandemic hit, Sadhbh’s penchant for performing never waned and she instead played shows online.

At that point, she posted regular ‘Live with Sadhbh’ videos on Instagram and honed her songwriting skills, transitioning from covers to performing her own original material.

Last March, she released a Dermot Kennedy-influenced single called ‘Memories Two’, chronicling the dissolution of a relationship, and has continued to grow her fanbase.

Her fans will be treated to a night to remember when she performs at the Round Tower GAA Club next month, which will be the young musician’s first headline show.

In a post on social media, Sadhbh said: “I’m very excited to announce I will be playing my first headline gig in the Round Tower GAA Clubhouse on October 8 with support by the amazing Muireann McDonnell.

“I cannot wait for this gig! More news to come soon.”

The event is being supported by South Dublin County Council and the Department of the Arts, and tickets costing €10 each are available now on Eventbrite.ie.
