LJays students scoops their share in Gorey

LJAYS Elite Chief Instructor Lorraine Riddell recently oversaw some very impressive perform-ances by 17 of her students at the B-Elite Junior Kickboxing Champion-ships in Gorey.

For a number of the club’s contingent, this was their first outing as LJays fielded fighters from the ages of four years all the way up to teens.

Although this was one of the biggest competitions for some of the younger students, the club still managed to take home more than 20 medals in points fighting, light contact continuous, full contact ring sport, together with a ‘Fight of the Night’ award.

One week on LJays travelled to another competition, this week the “Best of the Best” kickboxing tournament, from which they brought home a huge amount of honours, including two senior gold medals.
