Local company brings the party venue excitement to your home

PARTY venues are difficult to source these days due to the dreaded implications of Covid-19.

However, one local company can deliver the excitement of a venue and party equipment to your home, while managing the whole shebang to boot.

Adapting to the new normal is something that has come naturally for Fusion Events, a Clondalkin based company, who have kept themselves going during Covid-10 through sheer determination.

Tallaght man Brian O’Reilly started the event management and entertainment services company in 2000.

“For someone who has got a birthday, they invite their friends, and we bring it all together and run the show,” said Brian.

“It can run for up to two hours, including music, chat, a few prizes, and afterwards a celebration and cake. We can organise everything from start to finish, invites, registration. We have an MC and a team behind it. It is very cost effective, a starting price of €400.”

Normally, Fusion cater for a broad range of clients from large multinational companies in “team building” events to private individuals, birthday parties and all types of celebrations.

During abnormal times, they are hosting online birthday parties for customers and as the lockdown starts to ease a little, O’Reilly believes people will be looking for something a little bit different.

“A lot of parties have been cancelled and it has been very disappointing for families. But Phase 1 of the easing of restrictions, allows us to put back into use our huge section of giant garden games and arcade games. We have a huge resource in equipment built up over the years.

“If someone has a birthday, we can bring out a carnival store, garden games, arcade games like Pac Man, Stretfighter, and things like virtual reality.

“Basically, we are a one-stop shop for party planning. We can install an outdoor bar and catering, BBQ’s, including entertainment and you can practice social distancing. There is something for everyone.”

Covid-19 has been “challenging” for O’Reilly, as Fusion events on the ground are very much based on “maximum engagement” and an “uplifting experience” for clients.

“We are fortunate to have a determined team. We have adapted to a new normal and are very mindful that there is still a necessity for people in public to interact. We encourage people to join together for social events,” said O’Reilly.

As the lockdown restrictions ease, O’Reilly and his team are rearing to go full throttle again.

“We have been working round the clock and are ready to go. We want to be there to help people and deliver what we’ve always done.”
