Katie won the lucrative scholarship after her Gaeltacht video was chosen from a large number of entries. The judges commended the high standard of submissions which were open to all Feachtas youth clubs across Dublin.

The scholarship covers the entire costs associated with a Gaeltacht course, including registration, board, and course fees.

Pádraigín Nic Ghearailt, Feachtas Chairperson, says that the scholarship will provide Katie with a great opportunity to enjoy and learn Irish in fun and authentic environment in Donegal.

“We are delighted to provide Katie with this opportunity to attend the Gaeltacht. Katie’s winning video entry impressed the judges. She is a deserving winner.”
