The Rathfarnham side were beaten by St Dominic’s College (Cabra) 3-3 to 3-4 in a well-contested final.

However the Rathfarnham girls picked up the momentum in the second half with Laura Nagle, Ciara Murphy and Emer O’Leary striking over points.

Cora Ryan netted a fine goal for Loreto and this was followed up with goals from Eimear O’Leary registering two goals and a point. Ciara Murphy was also on target for Loreto.

St Dominic’s registered a point in the second half which proved crucial at the finish as they held out narrow winners.

Laura Nagle played well for Loreto in defence while keeper Eva O’Donoghue pulled off a number of vital saves. Cora Ryan was another played that worked hard for Loreto.

The team has players coming from Ballyboden St Enda’s and Ballinteer St John’s.
