Man (30s) arrested in connection with Clondalkin shooting incident

GARDAI investigating a shooting incident in Clondalkin on Friday evening have arrested a man in his thirties.

Gardai in Clondalkin Garda Station are investigating the discharge of a firearm which occurred last Friday at around 5pm in Cherrywood Grove.

A man, aged in his twenties, was taken to Tallaght University Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

According to a Garda statement issued this afternoon, Monday, April 11, a man in his thirties has been arrested.

A Garda spokesperson said: “The man, aged in his 30s, was arrested this afternoon Monday, 11th April 2022.

“He is currently detained in Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.

“Investigations are ongoing.”
