Man arrested after gun and ammunition seized in Clondalkin

Gardaí have confirmed they arrested a 20-year-old man following the discovery and seizure of a firearm and ammunition during a planned search of a premises at Lealand Close in Clondalkin

The raid took place on Saturday afternoon shortly before 3:30pm.

The search was carried out by members of the Clondalkin District Detective Unit.

The man was arrested at scene and is currently detained at Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended.
