Keating, aged 41, with an address at Homeville Court, Knocklyon, is accused of assaulting Alenzi causing him harm at the above address on June 30, 2015. He is also charged with producing an extendable baton and producing a knife on the above date.

Alenzi’s case was called first. Judge Reilly noted that it will be alleged that Alenzi used an axe during the incident. She remanded Alenzi on continuing bail to a date in September to consider jurisdiction.

Keating’s case was called later in the morning. Sergeant Michael Ahern told Judge Reilly that the case was related to the Alenzi case. He asked for a further remand.
