Man arrested in Clondalkin by Gardai under Operation SKEIN

A MAN in his 20s was arrested by Gardai under Operation SKEIN following a search operation in Clondalkin on Sunday morning.
The man was arrested in relation to the ongoing investigations and is currently detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
Operation SKEIN is an investigation into international BEC/Invoice re-direct fraud being committed from Ireland and the laundering of the proceeds through accounts here
A Garda statement released on Sunday morning said: “Gardaí have arrested a man in his 20s, following a search operation in Clondalkin this morning, Sunday 18th April 2021.
“He was arrested in relation to the ongoing investigation under Operation SKEIN and is currently detained at Ballyfermot Garda station under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007. He can be held for up to 7 days”.
