Man convicted of manslaughter of Jordan had 31 previous convictions

A Tallaght man convicted of the manslaughter of a 20-year-old in July 2024 had 31 previous convictions, the Central Criminal Court heard on Monday.

The sentencing hearing of 37-year-old Patrick Murphy of Drumcairn Parade, Tallaght, who was convicted of the manslaughter of 20-year-old Jordan Ronan on Drumcairn Avenue after a trial last year, revealed that he had 31 previous convictions to his name, including convictions for possessions of knives, possession of drugs and stolen property.
