Man in serious condition after shooting in Ballyfermot

Gardai are investigating a shooting in Ballyfermot last night in which a man in his 40s was seriously injured.

The incident happened near Raheen Drive in the Cherry Orchard area at around 9 pm last night.

The man was rushed to St James’ Hospital and his condition is believed to be serious, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A garda spokesperson confirmed that the they are investigating the incident and a full technical examination of the area will be carried out by the Garda Technical Bureau.
