Man shot in Ballyfermot

Gardaí in Ballyfermot are investigating a shooting incident which occurred at Le Fanu Drive, Ballyfermot shortly after 10pm tonight.
A 19-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to his leg during the incident.
He was treated at the scene by emergency services personnel and removed to St. James’s Hospital by ambulance. His condition is not thought to be life threatening.
The scene is preserved for a technical and forensic examination. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
