Man to appear in court after gardai seize loaded pistol in Walkinstown

A man (34) is expected to appear in court this morning in relation to the seizure of a handgun in Walkinstown in June.

Acting on foot of directions received from the Office of The Director of Public Prosecutions, Gardaí from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau arrested a man in connection with the gun seizure in Walkinstown.

The incident occurred on June 18 at Walkinstown Avenue.

During the course of a search a loaded pistol was seized.

The man is expected to appear in the court at some point this morning.
