Man who finished eight and half year sentence is jailed for two months

A MAN who has just finished an eight and a half year sentence has been jailed by Blanchardstown District Court for two months for trespass.

Kenneth Lock was found trespassing in the Rosebank Court apartments in Clondalkin.

Judge David McHugh heard that Lock has 124 previous convictions.

Sergeant Geraldine McMcManigan told the court that at 5am on February 13 last, the gardai were called to the apartments in Rosebank Court in Clondalkin as a man was knocking on doors and shouting and causing a disturbance.

Sgt McManigan said the gardai found Lock on the top floor.

She said Lock was very abusive and disruptive and continued to be after he was arrested.

She said Lock called the gardai “f##king c##ts and b#ll#cks”.

Lock, aged 28, with an address at Ramillies Road, Ballyfermot, pleaded guilty to trespass at Rosebank Court, Clondalkin, on February 13, 2018.

Of the 124 previous convictions, Sgt McManigan said 10 were for theft, one was for aggravated burglary and one was for robbery.

Lock’s solicitor, Terry Hanahoe, said his client had just been released from prison after an eight and a half year sentence. He said Lock was going through a difficult period.

Judge McHugh sentenced Lock to two months jail and directed that Lock receive all the medical assistance he needs in prison.
