March Sports Star of the Month: Kate Frost
KATE Frost has been declared The Echo Sports Star of the Month for March following the part she played in reaching the last 16 of the Swiss Open Super 300.
Making an impressive return to competitive international badminton action. she linked up with doubles partner Moya Ryan to serve up some fine performnaces that saw the pair rise to 105th position in the World rankings.

Having already secured qualification for the 2021 European Championships at the end of April as one of the top 28 ranked pairs in the continent, they will be much encouraged by this latest outing against such top-drawer opposition.
She and Ryan clashed with English pair Victoria Williams and Annie Lado in the first round and won in three sets 21-12, 9-21, 21-17 which propelled them into the last 16 where they came up against the World Number 14 pairing of Gabriela and Stefani Stoeva from Bulgaria.
Frost and Ryan relished the great experience they got from the high-class tournament in which they were ultimately stopped when they lost out 21-8, 21-8 to the Stoeva sisters.
